World War II's great Western European battles are no exception:               D-Day, Market Garden and The Battle of the Bulge. As a member of the 82nd Airborne Francis Lamoureux participated in all three; as a Pathfinder in D-Day, wounded in Market Garden and in the ferocious Battle of Hürtgen Forest before the Battle of the Bulge.
