Post-Production

This project was brought to American Montage by our longtime collaborator, the excellent producer Frank Linkoff. 

This 30-second spot directed by M. Henry Jones was perhaps the most outrageous spot we made for America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.

The spot combines shades of 1950s horror movies with 1960s biker film.

The spectacular wheel-style animation was made in collaboration with legendary animator Bob Franz. The offline post-production and sound work was done at AMI by Eric Schefter and the Flame work was done by Bill Mahler at the facility now known as BLINK!

Long-time American Montage associate Frank Linkoff brought this project to us.

It brought two relatively new situations to AMI. The first a national broadcast spot in Spanish and a national broadcast spot that was shot entirely in DV, specifically with the Panasonic DVX 100. Our input was to post, mix, master and deliver. The results we're "muy bien"!

 After the Bounty spots work Frank Linkoff and Red Creek brought this project to us. Another Spanish spot, this time not in DV but in 35mm. The challenge was that it was a revision of a previously filmed spot that we had to very carefully match with new material. A delicate film to tape at Moving Images and precise color correct and edit made this spot another success!

Over the past five years Shawn Hughey, principal and founder in IMelt, has come to American Montage to post-produce spots he was producing for such retail giants as Bloomingdales, Saks 5th Avenue and Macy's. The results have always been spectacular.

This year he asked us to help produce them.

There was a lot of work to do. A roll out of a series of spots for the Federated Group of stores that would be for their entire Christmas ad campaign. This would include spots for Bloomingdales, Marshall Fields Avenues, Macy's and Carson's.

As designed the production would require over 80 costume changes, three full set changes, two separate camera and lighting crews; one union and one non-union.

It also needed to be shot in two days. Needless to say it was a hectic and challenging time.

We believe the results show grace and style.

Our associate Frank Linkoff successfully produced a series of commercials for Imelt director Shawn Hughey.

American Montage provided the post-production expertise that brought these high profile and stylish spots to fruition. product msd provided music and sound design. Once again quality work done in a timely fashion has resulted in an ongoing collaboration with a wonderful client.
