Golda's Balcony: North American Tour
Golda's Balcony, the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history, was hitting the road -- starring Valerie Harper as the legendary Golda Meir. The series of TV spots for the national touring show were an absolute joy to make.
Producer David Fishelson, founder of the Manhattan Ensemble Theater,brought the project to American Montage. Because he wanted the utmost visual freedom we decided to shoot against green screen. The commercials were created in the editing room with a lot of experimentation combining imagery of Valerie Harper as Val and in full make up as Golda Meir. The commercials were directed and edited by Eric Marciano with a lot of help from Dave.
