When Someone Dies: Understanding Grief
That's right: The Big Sleep, The Big D, that place we all know we're going but prefer not to think about. This documentary focuses on adolescent grieving and is the first of a three-part series. The other two parts currently in production are for children and adults.

With he help of the amazing organization
Friends in Deed, and a number of participants who opened up their hearts and minds, we put together a poignant, powerful and hopefully helpful program. While the film is emotionally compelling, it is neither melodramatic nor sentimental. Instead, it explores and demonstrates that while grief can be overwhelming and can't be ignored or trivialized, it can be managed.

The film includes interviews with renowned grieving expert Earl Grollman ("Straight Talk About Death and Bereavement") and Robert Ludwig, Head of the Children's Grief Center at Long Island College in Brooklyn, New York. The dedicated team of Associate Producer Steve Ausbury, Cinematographer Joseph Piazzo, Editor Emilie Agniel and Composer Harris Skibell worked together to create a powerful and compelling film.
