Santiago's Story
Magnum photographer, Susan Mieselas and filmmaking partners Dick Rodgers and Alfred Guzzetti came to Eric in search of his visual story telling skills and social understanding. They provided American Montage with the spectacular and moving footage from Nicaragua about the Ford Foundation funded reform program for Fair Trade produced by Paul Rice's organization Transfair. The Fair Trade
program assists farmers in the selling of their coffee beans at a price that's equitable for both the farmer and the consumer. Eric's eye for structure and beauty make this story of controlling one's destiny a documentary that is both captivating and enlightening.
